Ex-First Lady of Kaduna State, Hadiza El-Rufai
Hadiza El-Rufai, former First Lady of Kaduna State, has tackled Senator Shehu Sani on X, formerly Twitter.
Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the 8thAssembly, had made a post about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In the post, he opined that President Tinubu?s traveling out of the country has a way of affecting taxes and prices of commodities.
??New law of economics; When the President travels out, Taxes and Prices goes up,? he wrote.
Reacting, El-Rufai, who is known for correcting bad English on X, spotted the post and corrected the former lawmaker.
She said Sani?s post should have read ??go up? and not ??goes up.?
Following this, some Nigerians took to the comment section to share their thoughts.
@belloinuwa wrote: ?This could literally start a war???.?
@Northerner? said: ?El-Rufai family and Shehu Sani tussle is unmatched. Astaghfurullah!??
@CroBender wrote: ?English not his mother tongue???
@imustaphaa: ?This one is the same generation thing. I can not comment on it. I come in peace.?
@Aprilkekule: ?Whether ?goes up? or ?go up?, the message is clear???
While in office, Hadiza?s husband and Sani did not see eye to eye. There are reports that the rift between Sani and ex-Governor Nasir El-Rufai cost him his parliamentary seat in 2019.
Sani had left the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the height of their disagreement. He had sought to be reelected into the senate but lost to Uba Sani, incumbent governor of Kaduna and former ally of El-Rufai.
However, El-Rufai and Uba Sani fell apart months after the latter succeeded the former. (Weekend Trust)
