Ruling houses in Moro community, Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State, have appealed to Governor Ademola Adeleke and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, to intervene in the selection process for the vacant Olumoro stool.

The Ariori and Ojigidiri ruling houses, represented by Prince Bade Adeyemo, Prince Olakanye Adigun, and Primate Ariyo Olayinka, addressed the media, commending the Olumoro-In-Council for consulting them to present a candidate for the position.

However, they expressed concern that three ruling houses were later excluded from the process, leaving only the Ariwosile and Arowoelede houses in contention. Speaking for the excluded families, Prince Adeyemo stated that Ariori, Ojigidiri, and Dako have been unfairly sidelined from the selection.

He said: ?The 1958 Gazette is not only obsolute, but does not represent the interest and aspiration of Moro people.

?We hereby appeal to Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi, because the town is under the jurisdiction of Ile-Ife and Governor Ademola Adeleke to please wade in to this matter. A Board of Inquiry should be instituted to look into matters and resolve it.? (The Nation)
