Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Wednesday that Israel’s eventual military response to Iran “will be lethal, precise and especially surprising.”

Iran attacked Israel with missiles Oct. 1 in an “aggressive” assault that “failed because they were inaccurate,” Gallant said during a visit to Israel Defense Force Intelligence Unit 9900, which is responsible for collecting visual intelligence.

“They won’t understand what happened and how,” he said of the coming Israeli response, adding that “the entire chain of command is in line and focused around this issue.”

During his visit, Gallant received an overview of the unit’s preparation of the latest attacks on Lebanon, Israeli newspaper Ynet reported.

Referring to Iran’s recent missile attack against Israel, Gallant said the Israeli Air Force had not suffered losses, nor were any soldiers or civilians hurt, the Times of Israel reported.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed after the attack that Iran would face “consequences.” (AFP)
