The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has described the rumoured planned attack on University of Abuja Campus as false and misleading.
A statementon Saturday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh said: ?The attention of the FCT Police Command has been drawn to rumors of an alleged planned abduction at the University of Abuja Campus by unspecified individuals circulating on online platforms.
?The FCT Police Command wishes to clarify that these reports are nothing but baseless publications propagated by rumor mongers aiming to create unfounded panic and apprehension among FCT residents and University community.
?The Command hereby reiterates its commitment to securing and safeguarding the lives and property of residents in the FCT as adequate deployment of personnel and equipments have been implemented to enhance the security situation within the FCT, which includes the University of Abuja.
