The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has condoled with Akwa Ibom State governor, Umo Bassey Eno over the death of his Wife, Patience Umo Eno.

The Defence Chief also extended its heartfelt condolences to the entire Akwa Ibom people over the sudden passing away of the first lady of the state.

This was contained in a statement issued on Friday by Bridgadier General Tukur Gusau, Director Defence lnformation and made available to NewsExpress.

The statement reads ?Surely, a big vacuum has been created in your family and the state considering the indispensable and invaluable roles she had played, most especially since the assumption of your administration.

?Her Excellency was not just a wife but a trusted and dependable ally to you.Notably, she will be fondly remembered for her efforts in enhancing the lives of the people of Akwa Ibom State particularly children, youths and vulnerable persons through her pet project, ?Golden Initiative for All (GIFA).

?Painful as her sudden and unexpected death may be, I urge you to take solace in the lucid fact that as mortal beings, who must one day leave this other side of the sun, we have hope beyond here.

?May the Almighty God, grant you, the entire members of your family, and the good people of Akwa Ibom State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

?Again, I wish those she left behind God?s divine protection always. Once again, on behalf of the AFN, I urge you to take heart as we share in your grief.?
