Embattled popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, alias Bobrisky
Embattled popular Nigerian cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has hinted that he is thinking of taking his life following bribery allegations made against him by social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, alias VeryDarkMan.
In a video released earlier this week, VeryDarkMan accused Bobrisky of offering N15 million to operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges against him. The video also showed Bobrisly allegedly revealing that he bribed officials of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) and was housed in a nearby posh flat during the six months he was supposed to be serving a jail term at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos upon his conviction for abuse of the naira.
The video and claims of VeryDarkMan have elicited strong reactions, including threats of lawsuits by named individuals and moves by the Nigerian government to investigate the allegations.
In a post shared on his Facebook account earlier today, Thursday, September 26, Bobrisky wrote: ?I have never in my life thought about suicide in my life but now is coming to my head seeing what human being are doing to their fellow human just in the name you want to bring them down by force or because you don?t like them.
?I don?t need no sympathy from anyone. People I might have need sympathy from are my late parent. But who will fight for you? Friends? Haters you won.?
Checks by News Express showed that Bobrisksy has deleted all pictures and videos on his Instagram account.
This came after he on Wednesday took to his social media accounts to to refute the allegations.
He claimed that he had served his jail term and did not bribe EFCC officers.
Bobrisky also dismissed a viral voice recording, purportedly linked to the bribery allegations, calling it fake.
