NUPRC Board of Neutrals Member, AmbDr Ayibaemi Ken-Fashola, KJW
In further pursuit of a streamlined harmonious relationship and interaction with both stakeholders and the general public at large, the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has announced the appointment of Amb/Dr Ayibaemi Ken-Fashola, KJW as a member of its Board of Neutrals.
In a letter referenced NUPRC/LD/ADRC/02/IND/2024/39 dated and signed by the Commission’s Secretary and Legal Adviser, Olayemi Anyanechi, it stated that the renowned Mediator and Peacebuilder, Amb/Dr Ayibaemi Ken-Fashola, KJW, had been appointed to the Body of Neutrals of Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre.
A seasoned mediator and peacebuilder, Dr Ayibaemi is expected to bring his wealth of experience and expertise to bear on the realities on ground.
This appointment is a testament to Dr. Ken-Fashola’s wealth of experience in mediation, conflict resolution, and peacebuilding.
As a member of the Body of Neutrals, Dr. Ayibaemi will bring his expertise to bear on the ADRC, providing mediation services to stakeholders in the upstream petroleum sector.
His appointment Is a significant addition to the Centre, given his impressive track record in mediation, peacebuilding, and conflict resolution.
Dr. Ayibaemi’s experience spans several years in oil and gas logistics, where he made outstanding accomplishments and impact. He is also a Board Director of the Global Peace Foundation and past National Deputy President of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, among other notable positions.
His expertise and experience will be invaluable to the ADRC under a conducive working environment.
The Inauguration ceremony for the members of the Body of Neutrals will take place on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The establishment of Body of Neutrals is in line with the Commission’s mandate to regulate and oversee the upstream petroleum sector in Nigeria and this development will mark a significant milestone in the Commission’s efforts to build a better harmonious relationship with both its stakeholders and the general public who are already seemingly agitated following the fallouts from deregulation in the sector.
NUPRC reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that the upstream petroleum sector operates in a safe, efficient, and sustainable environment and assures stakeholders and the general public that it will continue to work tirelessly to achieve its goals and objectives in their interest.
