Nigerian actor and politician Bankole, Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, alongside his wife, actress and singer, Adesua Etomi, have publicly declared support for Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Edo State.

In an Instagram post on Saturday, September 7, 2024, Banky W expressed that their support goes beyond politics, stating, “This isn’t just about politics. It’s about a person.”

The couple, dressed in matching black vests emblazoned with the inscription “The future is AI (Asue Ighodalo)” and “I’m for AI,” shared their admiration for Ighodalo.

Banky W praised Ighodalo as “one of the greatest people we know,” describing him as a family man, a successful businessman, and a legendary lawyer.

He added, “A brilliant mind, a kind man with a heart for people; a man who has built companies and communities. And by God’s grace and the will of the people, a man who will become the next Governor of Edo State.”

It will be recalled that it was reported that Asue Ighodalo has been actively campaigning ahead of the Edo gubernatorial election, which is scheduled for September 21, 2024. (Nigerian Tribune)
