Shock and sorrow have trailed the discovery of the lifeless body of Mrs. Kate Ngozi Ogbodo, wife of Engr. Aloysius Ogbodo, a former Commissioner in Enugu State.
Mrs. Ogbodo, a popular fashion designer and Proprietress of Chimamanda Fashions Abuja, was recently found dead in her apartment in the Gaduwa area of the federal capital. The cause of death of the pretty 60-year-old mother of one whose husband served as Commissioner for Special Duties during the immediate past administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in Enugu State, is yet to be ascertained.
Kate’s cousin and bosom friend, Chief Dr. Magdalene Nwaka Agada, who broke the news of her death, said that she has been left devastated by the sudden death of a dear friend she spoke with only two days earlier.
“We were first cousins and we grew up together. I spoke with her on the phone and two days after she was found dead in her home. I am yet to believe that she is gone. Kate will forever be missed,” Mrs. Agada, an international philanthropist and business tycoon based in New York, USA, lamented.
She disclosed that a Wake Keeping Mass would be held for the departed fashionista fondly called Ijele Nwaoma Enugu, at the Church of Archangel Gaduwa Abuja on September 16, while her remains would be buried at her husband’s home town, Obeagu-Ugwuaji Nkanu Awkunanaw, Enugu State, on September 20, 2024.
