The National Coordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, has described reports of a crisis in the Anambra State House of Assembly over the recent amendment of the Local Government Electoral Law as a “fabricated tissue of lies and a fake news

Obigwe in a statement made available to journalists in Awka on Thursday, urged the public to disregard the report.

He stated that the amendment was made with the unanimous support of the majority members of the House of Assembly and that there was no dissenting voice that could affect the decision.

According to the APGA National Coordinator, “one Mr. Edozie Njoku and his cohorts are using Eneh Victor Chigozie to spread falsehood on social media, aiming to instil fear in the minds of APGA faithful and Anambra people.”

He further hailed the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somto Udeze, “for his experience and commendable leadership,” describing him as the best Speaker the Anambra House of Assembly has ever produced.

Njoku also commended the 8thAssembly members for prioritizing the interest of peace in the state under Governor Soludo’s administration above their personal interests.

He described the newly enacted local government law as commendable and advised the public to heed to it and disregard what he called “fabricated tissue of lies being spread by those he called evil-minded people.”
