The Adara Youth Congress (AYC) in Kaduna State has raised their voices against the relentless violence inflicted upon them by Fulani terrorists, expressing deep distress over the ongoing daily atrocities they face.

According to their account, no Adara community has escaped the violence and terror inflicted by the terrorists.

In a statement released by Alhaji Ishaya Onnusim, the Public Relations Officer of AYC, he lamented, “With a heavy heart, I, representing the Adara Youth Congress (AYC), express our anguish and sorrow for our beloved Adara people, who are facing brutal killings at the hands of Fulani terrorists daily.”

“Not one Adara community has escaped the violence and terror caused by these terrorists.”

He mentioned that the terror persisted on Friday in Gefe community, in Kallah District in Kajuru LGA, Kaduna State, where the Village Chief, Mr. Emmanuel Dangaladima (Agom Ana-Gefe), was ruthlessly gunned down.

His leadership and wisdom that steered their people had been taken away, creating an irreplaceable gap.

“The brutality did not stop there. Mr. Eze Paska, a young Igbo man who had made our community his home with his family, in search of peace and prosperity, was also mercilessly murdered.”

His life was tragically ended just because he opted to reside among us. Adding to the cruelty, his dear wife was taken by these heartless murderers.

Additionally, sixteen other innocent and vulnerable Adara individuals were kidnapped and transported to an undisclosed location by these terrorists. The names of those abducted are: Happy Bitrus, Fenedic Bitrus, Regina Arewa, Mary Joshua, Joy Joshua, Miller Ezra, Mattis Stephen, Olever Stephen, Monday Iliya, Florence Oliver, Blessing Maidoki, Mrs. Ezeh Paska, Beatrice Saleh, and Bihari Mallam, as well as Mr. Ado Onomai.

Their families are left In unbearable agony and uncertainty, not knowing if they will ever reunite with their loved ones,” the statement detailed.

The statement further disclosed that the Barga community in Awon Ward, Kachia LGA, Kaduna, was attacked on Thursday night, resulting in numerous residents, including the village chief (Agom Barga), being taken captive, along with the destruction of many homes and the looting of properties worth millions of naira.

Expressing sorrow, the statement emphasized, “The Adara nation is besieged. Our communities are being ravaged, our people are being slaughtered, and our hearts are shattering.”

“This unending nightmare must come to an end. We seek prayers, we seek divine intervention, as only He can rescue us from the horror that has consumed our territory.”

The Adara Youth Congress urged the government, security forces, and all compassionate Nigerians to unite with them during this period of sorrow and fear, urging prompt and resolute measures to safeguard their communities and ensure the perpetrators face justice. (Saturday Independent)
