The African Public Relations Association (APRA), the pan-African professional body for PR practitioners on the continent, has condoled with Kenyans over the recent anti-tax protests in the country that resulted in a number of deaths.
The condolence message was contained a in a press statement issued on Thursday and signed by APRA Secretary-General, Omoniyi Ibietan, Ph.D., fnipr.
Also, we stand in solidarity with our colleagues in the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK).
We urge the Government of Kenya to put the people of Kenya first and in a show of conversational capacity as already indicated by the Presidency, undertake stakeholder consultations with empathy and an openness to reconciliation, APRA said.
It commiserated with the families of those who died and wished a speedy recovery to those injured during the protests.
