Against the backdrop of the controversies arising from the creation of the Directorate of Obidient Affairs, as an integral part of the Labour Party, leadership has sought an alternative name to ensure a peaceful and amicable solution.

Recall that the Peter Obi through his X platform has cleared the air on parties personalizing the Obidient movement, which he said is a far cry from its original ideology.

The National Publicity Secretary Obiora Ifo, in a press statement Thursday,indicated that the name has been changed to Directorate of Mobilisation and Integration.

Ifo, further, stated that inauguration will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2024, to enable to ensure that the directorate kickstart operations and mobilization ahead 2027 general elections.
