Dr Yusuf Tanko, Chief Spokesman of Peter Obi, has said that the Labour Party 2023 Presidential Candidate has been meeting with political gladiators in the country, including the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Tanko stated this during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today.

He said that Nigerians needed a merger in 2027 that would take them out of the woods.

Tanko said, “Obi has been meeting with owners of industries, technocrats, students and political gladiators.

“There are quite a number of them that have been reached out to, for example Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso who is a good political gladiator. We had met with him.

“We had meetings with different individuals and political parties like SDP and ADC. Most of the political parties will be reached out to. They are already having meetings among themselves.

“You need to have a conglomerate of grounded political parties who are interested in getting Nigeria out of the wood.” (Daily Trust)
