Angel Alale
In a now viral video, a student identified as Angel Alale, who lost her father, has been awarded a full scholarship.
Education activist and the Chief Executive Officer at Educare, Alex Onyia, shared Alale’s story via his X account on Thursday.
He wrote, “Angel Alale has just been informed of her full scholarship. She has been crying uncontrollably.”
According to him, the news came as a life-changing opportunity for thestudent who faced the daunting prospect of discontinuing her education after her West African Examination Council (WAEC) exams due to the loss of her father.
Alale’s academic performance, however, set her apart.
“She scored 331 in JAMB, which makes her the best in her school,” Onyia revealed.
Moved by Alale’s story, Onyia expressed hisadmiration and commitment to supporting her educational journey.
“This has touched my heart differently, and I will be forever happy and privileged to support her education journey. She is a star,” he declared.
Earlier, a young mathematics prodigy, Ugwoezuonu Ogechi Zara, was reportedly awarded a N21 million scholarship after scoring a perfect score of 100% in the primary category of the National Mathematics Competition organised by the Mathematics Association of Nigeria. (The PUNCH)
