FRSCs Anthony Uga
By IGE ADEKUNLE
The Ogun Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has advised motorists to always keep 200 metres distance between their vehicle and the next to avert preventable crashes.
Mr Anthony Uga, gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Ota, Ogun.
Uga said that the advice was necessary for motorists, so that when there are challenges or emergencies, the vehicle behind would easily manoeuvre from such a scene or place.
The sector commander said such a measure would help to prevent mishaps in the event of any emergency.
“Every motorist using the road must be on guard, and as you are driving, motorists should keep distance between them and the next vehicle,” he said.
Uga enjoined motorists to avoid excessive speed and refrain from wrongful overtaking, especially during this rainy season to stem accidents. (NAN)
