Ibadan, April 5, 2024 (NAN) An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Friday, ordered that Wasiu Adeleye, 22 be remanded in a correction facility for alleged murder.
Adeleye, whose address was not provided is charged with murder.
The Magistrate, Mrs Oluwabusayo Osho, did not take the plea of Adeleye defendant for lack of jurisdiction to hear the matter.
She directed the police to return the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.
Osho adjourned the case until June 6 for mention.
The Prosecutor, Insp Olalekan Adegbite told the court that Adeleye committed the offence on April 2, at about 11.00 a.m, at Toll Gate area of Ibadan.
Adegbite alleged that Adeleye caused the death of one Odunayo Odesanya, 20, when he hit him on the head with a chair.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 319 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000. (NAN)
