Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State on Monday commissioned the Nasarawa Technology Village Phase one in Ask Pads in Karu LGC of the state. He opined that the initiative of the project was aimed at enhancing growth, attract investment, Job creation and to tackle poverty in the state.

He said that his administration was committed in providing accessible and affordable housing and other projects to the people of the state and other Nigerians as well as focused on development of technology and digital economy to thrive.

“The Nasarawa Technology Village has changed the face of this locality and will impact the economy of our state now and in the future.

“Our administration is committed to infrastructural development,

Urban and sustainable Housing Development,” he said.

He also appreciated Gov. Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Mr Ahmed Dangiwa, Sen. Tanko Al-Makura, Speaker of the state legislature, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau among others for attending the event.

Also speaking, Prof. Babagana Zulum of Borno State and Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Mr Ahmed Dangiwa commended Gov. Sule for initiating the project.

They both echoed that the projects would go a long way in boosting economic activities, boosting jobs creation and economic growth and development in the country.

The Minister also said that the federal government was committed to providing accessible and affordable accommodation to Nigerians.

On his part, Mr Mohammed Yamusa, Managing Director, Nasarawa Technology Village and ABS Blueprint Ltd said that 100 housing units have been completed for the first phase.

He added that many people including skilled and unskilled have been engaged as a result of the project.

Earlier, Hon James Thomas, Chairman, Karu LGA appreciated Gov. Sule for initiating the project in the area considering the benefits of the projects to the area and the country at large.
