The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has again appealed to Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra to save members’ businesses from collapse by offsetting government indebtedness to them.

IPMAN Enugu Depot Community made the call in a letter of reminder to Soludo on Friday, calling for the payment of the sum N901 million to members whosupplied diesel and services rendered for streets streetlights.

The letter which was signed by Mr Chinedu Anyaso and Mr Nnaemeka Iloafor, Chairman and Secretary respectively, said the appeal followed the resolution reached at the Annual General Meeting on Feb 15th, 2024.

According to IPMAN, sequel to several previous letters addressed to your office, other government and security agencies on the above subject matter, we held our AGM and resolved to write this further letter of appeal to you.

“This is based on a report that our members are yet to be paid the debt ofN900,664,805.00 owed them.

“Governor, we kindly appeal further for your intervention by settling this outstanding indebtedness to enable our dying members recover and continue their businesses.

“Another general meeting has been scheduled for Awka in three weeks time to report to our members on the progress made so far to enable us to conclude on what step to take next,” he said.

The marketers thanked Soludo in advance and promised to support his administration to succeed,” it said. (NAN)
