2017 AFCON: Nigeria walk a tight rope (Eagles 1 Pharaohs 1)

Nigeria is walking a tight rope after failing to beat visiting Egypt this evening in the first leg of their AFCON double header in Kaduna.

After a barren first half, the Super Eagles broke the deadlock through Oghenekaro Etebo on the hour mark.

The Pharaohs, however, levelled scores through Mohamed Salah in stoppage time.

The result leaves Nigeria still trailing leaders Egypt in Group G and in danger of not qualifying for the 2017 AFCON.

The second leg comes up on Tuesday in Alexandria, Egypt.
