Governor Seyi Makinde
Following the unfortunate incident that claimed innocent lives and destroyed property in Old Bodija, Area of the Ibadan, Oyo state, Governor Seyi Makinde on Wednesday, January 31, signed into law Executive Order 001, 2021.
The law, according to the goavernor, is on the safe handling and storage of harmful substances in Oyo state.
The governor, in a brief signing ceremony held at his Private office, said the move became imperative in light of the unfortunate incident at Bodija where explosives were stored in a residential area.
He said with the new law, such an incident will never reoccur in the state. (The Nation)
