Nasarawa state Governor Engr Abdullahi Sule

The Governor who sounded the warning on Tuesday during the flag-off and sales of fertilizer for 2024 Dry season farming held in Lafia the state capital. He also directed that security operatives in the state should also closely monitor and ensure that the product gets to the targeted farmers across the state.
On his part, the state commissioner of Agriculture and water resources Alhaji Umar Dan Akano commended Governor Sule for prioritizing agriculture in the state, adding that it will enhance food production in the state.
Akano however assured that modalities have been put in place by the ministry towards ensuring that the product will reach the rightful dry season farmers, saying that a committee has so far been constituted across the 13 LGCs and Development Areas of the state.
“We sincerely want to thank you once again for creating a conducive atmosphere especially in the area of maintaining peace in the state for farming activities to strive,” Akano added.
