Miss Face of Humanity Nigeria (MFOH Nigeria), the esteemed platform recognizing and honoring female change-makers for their humanitarian efforts, has significantly reinforced the crucial connection between education and peace.
This initiative was highlighted during the visit of Ambassador Rita Chika Ezenwa, the brand ambassador for Miss Face of Humanity Nigeria, to Government Secondary School Gwarinpa, Abuja, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, to commemorate the International Day of Education 2024.
The event, which addresses hate speech and bullying, aligns with UNESCO’s theme, “Learning for Lasting Peace”. MFOH Nigeria emphasized the role of education as the cornerstone for a brighter and more tolerant future.
Ambassador Rita Chika Ezenwa, adorned in her crown and sash, actively engaged with the enthusiastic students during the celebration, emphasizing the importance of education in fostering lasting peace and promoting tolerance among diverse communities.
During the event, the reigning queen spoke passionately about countering hate speech and bullying within educational environments, echoing UNESCO’s theme for 2024. She underscored the pivotal role of education in shaping a more tolerant and peaceful future.
The interactive session at Government Secondary School Gwarinpa allowed students to participate in discussions led by Ambassador Rita Chika Ezenwa actively, providing a platform for young minds to express their views on the role of education in countering negativity and promoting understanding among peers.
The event not only showcased the commitment of Miss Face of Humanity Nigeria to empower and inspire young minds but also highlighted the organisation’s dedication to promoting education as a key driver for positive societal change.
