Governor Sule

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has assured his administration’s determination to support the Nigeria Legion in order to succeed and improve on the welfare of their members.
He gave the assurance while speaking with newsmen during ceremony of the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration held at the Government House in Lafia on Monday.
At the event titled “We Remember Our Fallen Heroes”, Sule said that his administration would continue to give premium to the Nigeria Legion to succeed.
“Today is a historic day, this is a day we remember our fallen Heroes who fought vey hard for our freedom and our independence.
“And continue also to fight in other countries in order to defend humanity.
“You have seen a lot has been going on here in the state, the legion has continued to receive our support,” Gov Sule said.
He said that he has provided the legion with vehicles and more resources in order to operate efficiently.
“From what you have seen this year, we have already provided them with vehicles and we have provided them with more resources in order to have the legion operating more efficiently,” he added.
The event also featured prayers for the soldiers in the battle field as well as three gun salutes for the fallen heroes.
The event which had in attendance the Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau; the State Chief Judge, Justice Aisha Bashir; and the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (Rtd), among other dignitaries.
