The Nasarawa State Government has assured that premium attention would be accorded to Security, completion of on-going projects across the state, Education and Agriculture, amongst others.
The state Commissioner of Finance Budget and planning Hajiya MuniraAbdullahi, gave the assurance Friday during a press conference on 2024 Budget breakdown held at the ministry in Lafia the state.
According to her, “The 2024 N199.9 billion was earlier passed by the state House of Assembly and assented by His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule, is anchored on the need to renew commitment as well as sustain the achievements recorded over the years, tagged “Budget of renewed commitment”. She added that Recurrent Expenditure took the total sum of N113,123, 089.60 billion while the Capital Expenditure tookthe sum of N96,756, 315,639.83.billion.
The commissioner further said that budget was based upon a collective commitment of government to continue with the spaceof development in the state to exceed all expectations, adding that the administration of Sule has continued to pursue policies, programmes and projects pitched towards meeting the Longings and ambitions of the people.
Giving the sectoral allocation which administration took the sum of N39.69 billion ,Economic sector N67 .67 billion, Law and Justice N6.76 billion and Social sector got N85 .76 respectively.
