The Federal Government has asked Nigerians to take security of lives and properties as top priority, while assuring that it will not renege in providing adequate security to all Nigerians.

The Minister of State, Police Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, who dropped this message on Monday to mark the Christmas and New Year celebration, said the Federal Government enjoined the populace to be peaceful and maintain needed coexistence among themselves.

According to the Minister, the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has provided both medium and long term solutions to secure both human and assets of the country, not minding pockets of distractions.

“We enjoined Nigerians to also play complimentary roles by reporting any glaring security breaches, stating that the Ministry had taken a holistic decision to detach Nigerians from any form of security threats before, during and after the celebration,” she said.

She maintained that police will continue to play its constitutional roles of providing adequate and timely security to all Nigerians, with modern and modest gadgets and equipment as well as personnel capable of nipping in the bud any form of security threats across the country.
