A fire incident has been reported at the procurement building of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) in Kaduna.
News Express learnt that the fire started on Sunday afternoon around 2pm.
News Express reports that the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Ibrahim Malagi had paid an assessment visit to the station on Friday.
Malagi had promised to carry out reforms at both the radio station and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
Members of staff who witnessed the incident, said they sighted the fire coming from the procurement building, while coming out from the mosque after the afternoon prayers.
“Firefighters were invited and had successfully put off the fire and prevented it from spreading to other buildings”, one of the staff said.
Management of the radio station are yet to respond of issue official statement on the incident.
