The family of a 16-year-old dumb boy, Samuel Okoye, has raised alarm over his sudden disappearance from their home in 3-3 area of Onitsha in Anambra State.

Father of the dumb boy, Emmanuel Okoye, raised the alarm when he reported the matter to the Police.

The elder Okoye, an indigene of Ifite-Ogwari in Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State but residing at No. 11 Nku Caleb Street Offor 3-3 Nkwelle-Ezunaka, said that his son, on Sunday, left home and has not returned.

While saying that the 16-year-old Samuel is dumb, he also described him as dark in complexion and about 5:5 feet tall.

According to Okoye, several efforts have been made to trace the whereabouts of the missing teenager to no avail.

He pleaded with anyone who has any useful information about the whereabouts of his missing son to avail the information to the nearest Police station.

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the Command has received the report of the missing boy, adding that efforts were being intensified to find him.

He called on parents and the public to caution their children about strangers.

Ikenga added: “The Command also enjoins the public with useful information about the child’s whereabouts to report at the nearest Police station or through a designated Police Emergency Number 07039194332.
