In fulfilment of his People’s Charter of Needs blueprint, Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has issued a N15 million cheque to one Mr Bartholomew Aja of Ivo Local Government Area of the state for his ailing daughter, Chidera Aja’s kidney transplant.
Governor Nwifuru presented the cheque to Mr Aja in his Office at Ochoudo Centenary City, Abakaliki on Tuesday.
Represented by the Chief of Staff, Professor Emmanuel Echiegu, Governor Nwifuru, said the prompt release of the amount requested by Mr. Aja was to avoid complications in the health condition of the child.
Governor Nwifuru prayed God to grant Miss Chidera successful transplant and quick recovery thereafter.
Responding, the Father of the sick Child, Mr. Bathlomew Aja thanked Governor Nwifuru for the gesture and prayed God to continue to guide him in his administration.
It will be recalled that the sick Child, Miss Chidera Aja, is a student of Mass Communication, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.
The representative of the Governor and Chief of Staff, Professor Emmanuel Echiegu, was joined in handing over the cheque to Mr Bartholomew Aja by the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Chief Mathias Adum and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Governor’sOffice, Chief Uchenna Nwankpuma.
