In celebration of her 53rd birthday, the wife of Anambra State Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, on Monday paid off the hospital bills of ten women who had recently given birth, including one who delivered through caesarian operation at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital (COOUTH) in Awka.

Mrs. Soludo who marked her birthday on Monday also visited a Rehabilitation Center at Nteje, in Oyi Local Government Area of the state and the Community Children’s Home also in Awka.

In her remarks at each venue, Mrs Soludo said that making such visits, especially on her birthdays, has always been part of her routine, saying that she finds great fulfilment and satisfaction in reaching out to those in need.

She described her life as a testament of grace and expressed gratitude to God for blessing her with good health and longevity

She commended the caregivers at the hospital and homes for their dedication and selflessness, even as she appealed to them to prioritize the dietary needs of the children and those in the rehabilitation centre while maintaining a clean environment to prevent diseases.

The Governor’s wife was accompanied in the visit by the wife of the State Deputy Governor, Mrs Oluchi Ibezim, the transition committeechairman of Idemili South, Mrs Amaka Obi, and the woman leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State, Mrs Esther Onyeakasi, among others.
