The Deputy Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Onah, has charged musicians to always use their respective musical outfits to promote unity and peace in the state.

Onah gave the charge on Sunday at the Assembly Complex in Abakiliki while addressing members of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, Ohaukwu Local Government Chapter, who visited him in his office.

The lawmaker stressed the importance of musicians in any society and appealed to members of the Association to use their God-given talents in promoting unity among Ohaukwu People and the entire State, respectively.

The legislator who was given credit for his philanthropic and humanitarian services thanked the Association for identifying with him as one of their members.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Association, Comrade Ndubisi Umeh, and a Stakeholder of the Association, Comrade Isaac Oseh, appreciated the Deputy Speaker for the warm reception he accorded them; and for having set a good example which, according to them, led to his emergence as the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly.

Similarly, the Deputy Speaker equally received members of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, Ebonyi State Chapter, and he enjoined them to discharged their duties diligently to justify their employment in the Assembly.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Ebonyi State Chapter of the Parliamentary Staff Association, Comrade Regina Oshibe, had said that they came to congratulate the Deputy Speaker for his re-election into the hallowed chamber and pledged their total support for him.
