The Kaduna State Police Command has nabbed 207 suspects in connection to various crimes especially phone snatching, ATM swap, armed robbery, thuggery (Sara-Suka) and other heinous crimes.

A statement by DSP Muhammed Jalige, spokesperson of the command, on Saturday, July 8, 2023, said the arrests were made in different locations within the city centre and a number of recoveries were made.

According to him, the command ordered for constant raids on identified black spots following the outcry by the good people of Kaduna State on the activities of criminals within Kaduna metropolis and environs, “that has yielded a positive result with the arrest of 207 suspects in connection to various crimes especially phone snatching, ATM swap, armed robbery, thuggery (Sara-Suka) and other heinous crimes.”

He said investigations are currently ongoing, some of the suspects have been charged to court, while others are currently undergoing in-depth inquiries after which they would also be charged to court of competent jurisdiction.

“The Commissioner of Police applauded Area Commanders, DPOs and Tactical Commanders for their resilience and professionalism in curbing crimes and urged them to sustain the tempo. He equally admonished parents to warn their wards against committing all forms of criminalities as they cannot evade the prowling eyes of the Police,” he added.
