In line with the democratic principles towards achieving Biafra’s Sovereignty, the Biafra Internal Government (BIG), which is the official government representing the good people of Biafra, has re-introduced digital income tax for her citizens.
The Prime Minister to BIG, Chief Mrs Calista Amamgbo insisted that the voluntary income tax is obligatory to all the registered members of BIM/MASSOB.
Addressing a crowd of members in Owerri, the Imo state capital, Amamgbo said, “This is the first time in three years that Biafra internal government (BIG) was introducing the digital income tax since induction in 2020.”
She stated that Biafra internal government (BIG) arrived at the decision to introduce the digital income tax with security features on the receipts in order to avoid sabotage.
On his part, the minister of information to the internal government of the Biafra movement, Chief Larry Odinmah explained that the income tax is for male adults and voluntary while it is obligatory to its registered members.
He, therefore, enjoined Biafran citizens to avail themselves of the opportunity to pay and obtain tax receipts by visiting any BIM/MASSOB regional offices nearest to them.
He said,” formation of Biafra internal government (BIG) followed the procedures spelt out by Montevideo Convention of 1933 and guidelines of the Unrepresented Nations and People’s Organization, UNPO, for the achievement of Self Determination for Biafra. (New Telegraph)
