Ebonyi State Governor, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, on Tuesday swore-in 35 new commissioners and Chief of Staff.

The swearing in ceremony took place at the new EXCO Chambers, centenary city, Abakiliki. Nwifuru Charged the Commissioners to be patriotic in serving the state and Nigeria.

The new Commissioners are; Engr. Stanley Lebechi Mbam – Works and Transport, Dr. Leonard Uguru – Finance, Dr. Matthew Nwobashi – Lands and Survey, Prof. Omari Omaka (SAN), Tertiary Education, Prof. Nwogo Obasi – Market Development & Parks, Mr Elijah Okwu Oko Udu – Skill Development & Job Creation.

Others includes; Prince Etta Uka Ude – Internal Security, Hon. Victor Chukwu Uzoma – Environment, Engr. Jude Chikadibia Okpor – Information and State Orientation, Mr. Chidi Onyia – Solid Minerals, Oguzor Offia Nwali – Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Aligwe Ann – Human Capital Development, Prof. Paul Awo Nwobashi – Education (Primary & Secondary), Mr. Uchenna Igwe – Local Government & Chieftaincy Matters.

The rest are; Dr. Ben Odo Uruchi – Justice and Attorney General, Mr Stanley Ifeanyi Ogbuewu – Culture and Tourism, Dr. Donatus C. Ilang – Boarder Peace & Conflict Resolution, Dr. Mrs. Obichukwu Ngozi – Aviation, Mrs. Chinwe Okah – Budget and Planning, Dr. Moses Ekuma Nnanna – Health, Hon. Richard Ugo Idike – Youths and Sports, Barr. Mrs. Felicia Nwankpuma – Women Affairs, Mr. Chinedu Nkah – Water Resources.

The Remaining also includes; Engr. Ogbonna Abara Obashi – Infrastructure, Engr. Francis Ori – Housing & Urban Development, Princess Nkechinyere lyioku – Agriculture and Natural Resources, Uzor Toochukwu Okorie – ICT, Mr. Ogbonna Felix Igboke – Project Monitoring & Evaluation, Mr. Ogbonna Okorie – Inter Party Affairs, Hon. Valentine Okike-Uzor – Special Duty, Inyima Sunday – Capital City, Hon. Peter Oge Ali – Power & Energy, Mr Elechi Elechi – Investment, Mr Solomon Azi – Grant & Donor Agencies and Barr. Ikeuwa Omebe – Rural Development.

Governor Nwifuru, while addressing the appointees, enjoyed them to join hands with him to transform the state.

Noting that the appointments were not political patronage, he warned that his administration will not tolerate indolence.

The Chief of Staff, Prof Emmanuel Echiegu, thanked the governor on behalf of the appointees for finding them worthy to serve. He assured that they would work hard to justify the confidence reposed in them.
