Ex-militant leader Asari Dokubo
Former Niger Delta militant leader, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, on Saturday came under fire from the leader of the Biafra Nations League (BnL), Princewill Chimezie Richards, for telling President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to release detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Dokubo had during his recent visit to Aso Presidential Villa, Abuja, warned that the release of Nnamdi Kanu would cause chaos.
Reacting, Princewill, whose group operates mainly around the Gulf of Guinea, accused Dokubo of double standards, adding that he speaks from both sides of his mouth.
He said Saturday in a statement made available toNews Express: “I know him, he never stand on anything, was it not few days ago he was shouting that Senate President should go to the South East as if it is of any importance to the people of the region, now he has changed mouth that the South East got what they deserved.
“He insulted Akpabio that he can’t be Senate President but now he is Akpabio’s friend.
Who takes that kind of person serious?”
Princewill, son of his Royal Highness, Eze Richardson Ekegbu, Eze Ndigbo of Oyigbo, Rivers State, said that Asari is on a mission to collect the pipeline contract given to Tompolo. “His main mission to Aso Villa is to beg for contract, and very soon Tompolo’s contract will be terminated.
“Let’s see if he is Tinubu’s godfather,” Princewill said.
