A 27-year-old man, Henry Abah, was on Tuesday docked in as Zonal Magistrates Court, New Karu, Nasarawa State for allegedly disguising as a female and stealing his lover’s personal belongings.

The defendant, who resides at New Nyanya, Nasarawa State is charged with criminal conspiracy, theft and unnatural offence

He however, denied committing the offence.

The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Shehu Ndam, told the court that the defendant committed the crime on April 25.

He said that the defendant conspired with one Dada at large and disguised himself as a young women.

“He confused Sharin Moses into falling in love with him and they lodged in a hotel known as Angle 90 Hotel located in Ado, Nasarawa State.

“While in the hotel room, the defendant stole the victim’s bag containing six Android phones, worth N330,000 and cash of N50,000 and escaped,” Ndam told the court.

The offence he said contravened the provisions of sections 97, 287 and 284 of the Penal Code.

The judge, Mr incent Gwahembe, however, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1m and one surety in like sum and adjourned the case until June 14 for hearing (NAN)
