Traders jubilating as market is opened
When theGarki International market, which had been closed six days prior due to inadequate hygiene, was reopened by representatives of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) on Wednesday evening, traders in the Garki International Market were ecstatic.
The officials, who were accompanied by Comrade Ikharo Attah, the Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Monitoring, Inspection, and Enforcement, arrived at the market for reopening at around 3.30 p.m. and gave the go-ahead following a careful check of its hygienic state.
Attah expressed his delight to the administration and traders of the market for acting quickly to assure the return of the market’s sanity to newsmen during the exercise. (Daily Independent)
