Late legendary journalist Peter Pan Enahoro
Legendary Nigerian Journalist Peter Enahoro, famously known as Peter Pan, has died in his London base.
He died yesterday, Monday, April 24, 2023, according to an obituary announcement regretting the passing “of our iconic journalist Peter Enahoro “Peter Pan” today in London at the age of 88.”
“Peter Enahoro (born 21 January 1935) is a Nigerian journalist, author, businessman and publisher. Also known by the pen name of “Peter Pan” because of his popular column in New African magazine under that name. He has been described as “perhaps Africa’s best known international journalist”,” the obituary announcement said.
Born into a famous political family, Peter Enahoro became the youngest national newspaper editor in his twenties, during the heady days of the First Republic. He went into self-exile in Europe in 1966 and spent the years in Germany, Belgium and the United Kingdom; but he never lost touch with the African continent. He is survived by his wife Susanne and two sons.
