Deadly downpour: Farmers send SOS to Gov. Obi, FERMA

Farmers in Nawgu, Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State in Nigeria’s South-East have called on the state government and the Federal Emergency Rehabilitation Management Agency (FERMA) to come to their aid on the destruction caused by a recent downpour that took its toll on their crops.

According to their spokesman, Mr. Sunday Nwozo, the heavy rain swept off all that they planted during this year’s planting season and in the process created ditches in their farms.

He called on Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, and FERMA to come to their aid to enable them cultivate again and have food to eat.
