Suspected car thief Oladipupo Muruf
The Osun State Police Command has arrested a 40-year-old man, Oladipupo Muruf, for allegedly being in possession of a stolen vehicle.
The black Lexus 330 Jeep was stolen from one Igwe Odinaka at Obosi in Idenmiri South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Kehinde Longe, confirmed that the suspect was arrested with the car in Ilesa.
The Osun Police Chief said the owner of the vehicle was shot in the stomach when his car was snatched from him.
He said the suspect was apprehended upon credible intelligence received that the vehicle was seen along Ijebu-Jesa road.
The policemen attached to ‘A’ Division, Ilesa on patrol intercepted the vehicle driven by Oladipupo, the CP said.
He added that the suspect was arrested and the vehicle recovered to the station for further investigation.
