12 persons have lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident at Ezillo in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The accident, News Express gathered happened at about 10 am on Tuesday, between a truck and a shuttle bus.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Commission (RRSC), Ebonyi State Command, Mrs. Uche Chukwurah, confirmed the accident to newsmen in Abakiliki.
She said two among the 14 passengers in the bus injured are receiving treatment at Alex-Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital, Abakiliki.
Chukwurah noted that 10 females and 2 males on board were among the deceased.
“14 passengers were involved among which 12 died these include 10 females and 2 males.
“Also, 2 were injured and they are receiving treatment at Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital, Abakiliki.
“The shuttle bus is white in colour with registration number EBJ 350 XA while the truck which has no number is pink in colour.
“The accident happened at about 10am on Tuesday,” she explained.
