TA Orji, former Governor of Abia State and the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, has replied rumour mongers who wished him dead, declaring that he is alive, hale and hearty.

News Expresshad on Saturday morning broken the news of the rife rumour of TA Orji’s purported death but dismissed it via the mouth of one of his close aides who spoke exclusively on the issue.

The Senator himself reacted hours later when select journalists paid a visit to his country home. He noted that he is not worried but the rumours of his death as enemies will stop at nothing to destroy his name, adding that since they had nothing on him death became their tool.

According to him, “The rumour doesn’t bother me. I am not perturbed. I am not disturbed. I am used to very serious rumours like this but you have seen that I am alive and healthy.Dead person dey talk?”

The former Abia Governor, who also reacted to the news of his alleged blindness, described it as laughable and asked how he was able to identify the journalists by their faces and names. He emphasised that at 71 he still doesn’t use spectacles.

On what he wished for those who wished him dead, he said: “If you wish me well, God will wish you well, if you wish me bad, evil will follow you. And that is what I am wishing those who wish me dead, death will follow them. Some of them will even die before me and I will be herekamkpe”.
