Obiano re-assures on development agenda

Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, has reassured Ndi Anambra, especially members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), of his commitment to the fulfilment of his development agenda for the state and concern for the welfare of the citizens and APGA members.

Governor Obiano, restated his resolve yesterday during his Thank You Tour to three council areas including Idemmili North, Onitsha South and Ekwusigo local government areas.

Obiano told the crowd at Ogidi, Central School Odoakpu and Ozubulu venues of the event in the respective council areas that the he came to fulfill a promise made to party members during the last elections. He noted that the party did very well in most of the wards and urged APGA faithful to sustain the tempo of mobilisation across the various communities and ensure that Ndi Anambra are aware of the development strides of his administration.

Also speaking at the venues, the National Chairman of APGA, Dr Sir Victor Ike Oye, reminded the people that in spite of the harsh economy ?which has occasioned dip in revenues and allocations from the federal government, governor Obiano has continued to work to better the lot of the people. “We want to assure the governor that the masses are behind him and he should not be distracted by the mudslinging from the opposition,” he declared.

In the same vein, the State Chairman of APGA, Sir Nobert Obi, reiterated the statement of the governor that the event was planned to say thank you to APGA members in the respective council areas for working for the success of our party during the last election. He assured that the party would continue to wax stronger and do much better in the future and achieve landslide victories.

In their contributions, APGA Party Chairmen in the three LGAS, Chief Kentus Onwurah; Hon Ikechukwu Muofunanya and Chief Ikenna Obidiugwu commended governor Obiano for keeping his word to the party faithful and investing in security of lives and property to protect the people of Anambra. They respectively noted that the governor has challenged the party members to do more and assured that they would deliver total support to APGA in their respective council areas.

In his Vote of thanks at Onitsha South Hon Paddy Aniuno, praised Obiano keeping his word. He said “it is on record that Anambra does not owe salaries, our Governor does not need a bail out” and assured the governor of continuous support for him and his government stressing that Ndi Anambra and the Igbo race are aware of his dedication to fighting their course always.
