
Two second half goals this evening fetched Nigeria victory over visiting Swaziland in the second leg of their FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, ths seeing the Super Eagles through to the group stage of the qualifiers.
Nigeria needed to win to progress after struggling to a draw away to minnows Swaziland on Sunday.
Expectant football fans who turned up to watch the game had to endure a barren first half but didn’t have to ait for long on the restart before the goals started coming.
Moses Simon broke the deadlock in the 51st minute, curling home a free kick awarded after Sylvester Igboun was fouled on top of the Swaziland box.
Efe Ambrose made victoy more sure in the dying minutes of the match, cooly stabbing home from Igbonu’s free kick in the 87th minute.
