Music star Wizkid

Popular Nigerian artiste, Ayo Balogun, fondly known as Wizkid, has finally broken the silence for not attending an event at the Accra sports Stadium in Ghana.
Hours ago, Wizkid was called out by several Ghanaians especially on social media for failing to show up at the paid concert.
Several rumours had also sparked in the air that the singer didn’t attend due to the “below standard” and his lack of pleasure with attendance.
The “Bad to Me” singer had issued a public announcement on his social media accounts where he had given reasons for his lack of attendance and apologized.
Wizkid announced that he and his team are working on a new date to refix the concert for his Ghanaian fans.
In a statement via his verified Twitter the singer wrote, “Ghana is a country I hold so dear to my heart, first and foremost I wanna apologize to all my fans! Y’all know I would never do anything, without serious reasoning behind it. My brand is something I don’t joke with! I sincerely apologize, to everyone who made the effort to come out for me last night.”
“I was charged up, looking forward to doing this show. However, please understand that every decision I made co-sided with honouring my fans, and would only make a drastic decision like this because it was the right thing to do and I had to. Unfortunately, up until the day of this show, there continued to be safety and production issues that prevented me from putting on a high-quality show that my fans deserve. My Team and I are working on delivering a show to my amazing fans in Ghana. It will be just us, me, and you. Date and details soon. Love you.” (Via Daily Trust)
