Late Dim Ojukwu
The 11th edition of the Ojukwu Memorial Day has been scheduled to hold by 12 noon today, Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Ojukwu Memorial Library, 2 Ralph Uwazuruike Street, Area G, New Owerri, Imo State.
This was announced by the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, Okenwa Ndigbo, Ijele Ndigbo, in a reminder notice sent to News Express titled: “Greatest Annual Event East of the Niger.”
The Ojukwu Memorial Day has always been held on November 26 since 2011 when it was instituted by Chief Uwazuruike with the memorial lecture to honour the Ikemba of Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, a man he described as the “most respected Igbo son” and nothing has stopped the event from holding ever since.
