Kiki Osinbajo, daughter of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has broken her silence following a false report that she was arrested in London.

A TikToker with the username @Realcharley22 had in a one minute, 22 second-long video claimed that Ms Osinbajo was last Wednesday arrested by authorities in the UK in possession of huge sums of money.

On Thursday, however, the Liberian content creator posted another video recanting the earlier post on the vice president’s daughter.

The Liberian said In the 59-second long video, “I want to apologize to Kiki Osinbajo because she never got arrested. The story is not true and my source deceived me and took someone else as Kiki.

“I want to make a disclaimer on the video I posted earlier, I am so sorry, my followers and Kiki Osinbajo, she never got arrested. Kiki Osinbajo never got arrested, my inside source took somebody else for Kiki Osinbajo.”

The social media Influencer retracted the story after being informed by a Nigerian blogger Tunde Ednut that it was false.

TikTok has since disabled the account of the Liberian.

On Monday, days after the report was retracted, Ms Osinbajo took to Instagram to celebrate her friend Deola Smart. She however did not comment on the false report.

She wrote, “Happy birthday Deee🖤@deolasmart Sometimes God sends gems💎into your life, can’t believe it’s been just a few years.

“To my sister for life Deeeee, God sent you to meeee, he knew I just had to meet you. You’ve been an amazing sister, gist partner, prayer partner and such an amazing friend. Super proud of you.
