Breaking: Nigeria slumps in latest FIFA ranking

Nigeria's miserable run in senior football got even worse this morning when the country crashed further downwards in the latest FIFA rankings.

From the 52nd position it occupied in October, the country went down seven places to number 59 in the rankings just released in Zurich, Switzerland, by the world football governing body.

The rankings saw Belgium occupying the first spot for the first time in the country's history.
