A businessman, Adeshina Idris Olalekan, has appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to come to the rescue of his family.
He said his wife Adeshina Rasheedat Oluwakemi, was abducted by armed men while travelling for a function in Kwara State.
Olalekan, who just returned from Europe with his wife and two kids, stated that he has also been receiving death threats and other terrifying messages, making him feel unsafe in his residence.
Narrating what happened, Olalekan said: “My wife was kidnapped while she was travelling along Benin-Ore Expressway for a friend’s function, and unknown armed men crossed her vehicle, took her away to an unidentified location. After making contact with the kidnappers, they requested 50 million naira as ransom.
“Since the kidnap of my wife, I have been receiving strange calls and messages of threat to life. The huge ransomrequested has caused me to rally around for support.
“My wife and my two kids just returned from summer in Europe. The kidnap of my wife has destabilised my kids who are emotionally disturbed over their mom’s absence.”(The Nation)
