The Management of Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has distanced itself from business entities masquerading as agents of the Commission to procure investments and business registration at ‘Mega discount” or either freebies, including Free JTB and FIRS TIN.
In a circular released by the management of the Commission disclaiming the ongoing publication both on social media and other platforms and made available by the Head, Media, of the Commission, Rasheed Mahe, it categorically stated that it has not licensed or commissioned any agent for investment/ registration of business, particularly with ‘Mega Discount’ and with freebies including Free JTB and FIRS TIN.
The Commission asked the general public to disregard the ongoing fraudulent activities of disgruntled elements who have tactically adopted all its official insignia to legitimize their illicit deals, against the hapless and unsuspecting members of the general public.
It stated without equivocation that it has not licensed any organization, body, individuals or groups to carry out its statutory functions, saying that the generation of FIRS TIN was an automated system after due registration of companies on its platform known as Company Registration Portal (CRP) free of all charges.
The release says the Commission is guided by the operationalization of Company and Allied Matters Act 2020 (CAMA), before, during and after registration of business entities in Nigeria.
It warned that on no account should any client and would-be client of the Commission operate outside the information provided on the official websitewww.cac.gov, including fees among many others, reassuring the general public of its intentions to provide the best services in line with the new vision of the organization.
